How to Determine Concrete Block Mould Capacity
Concrete block mould capacity depends on product dimensions, usable production area and machine configuration. Learn what determines the number of units per cycle.
What Does Mould Capacity Mean?
Concrete block mould capacity is the number of units produced in one machine cycle. The same machine can produce different quantities of small paving stones and larger concrete blocks, depending on the mould layout.
Mould cavity count is not the same as daily production output. Daily output also depends on cycle time, operating hours, downtime and rejected products.
Production Board and Usable Area
The entire production board surface is not always available for product placement. Mould construction, edge clearances, spacing between units and the machine’s working area must be considered together.
Dividing the board area by the product area provides only a rough estimate. The final cavity count is determined through a dimensioned mould layout.
Machine and Production Line Requirements
Fitting the products within the mould is not sufficient on its own. The filling system must distribute the mix across the layout, and the machine must be capable of compacting it appropriately.
Product height and loaded board weight must also be compatible with the handling and stacking equipment. Existing production experience supports the assessment, but comparing product weights alone cannot confirm compatibility.
Capacity Assessment and Quotation
Block Mould assesses cavity count according to the product geometry and machine details. The mould layout and connection details are submitted for technical approval before manufacturing.
To request a quotation, send your machine brand and exact model, production board dimensions, product drawing and required product height. Include the cavity count and photographs of your existing mould where available.
