Block Mould manufactures custom modular octagonal paving stone moulds for different brands and models of concrete block machines.
The modular octagonal paving stone has finished dimensions of 238 × 238 mm and is generally produced in 60 mm or 80 mm heights. Different product heights may also be evaluated according to the intended application, machine capacity and project requirements.
This octagonal product is designed to be used together with the matching modular connector stone and square paving stones. The coordinated geometry of the three products allows decorative and repeating modular paving patterns to be created.
Different colour combinations can be applied to the octagonal, connector and square paving stones to create distinctive surface designs. The modular paving system is suitable for pedestrian areas, landscaping projects, public spaces, courtyards, walkways, parking areas and other decorative paved surfaces.
The 60 mm version is generally preferred for pedestrian and landscaping applications. The 80 mm version may be used in areas exposed to vehicle traffic, subject to pavement design, ground preparation and local technical requirements.
Each mould is designed according to the customer’s:

- * Production board dimensions
- * Required paving stone height
- * Number of mould cavities
- * Connector and square stone dimensions
- * Selected modular laying pattern
- * Product geometry and joint requirements
- * Concrete filling and production conditions
Before manufacturing, we prepare a dimensioned technical drawing showing the product dimensions, mould cavity arrangement and compatibility with the selected connector and square paving stones. Production begins after the drawing and technical specifications are checked and approved by the customer.
Approximately 20 octagonal paving stones may be used per square metre, depending on the selected modular layout. Product weight, stone quantity and actual surface coverage may vary according to product height, concrete density, joint spacing and the combination of modular paving stones.
