Custom Steel Mould for 1,000 mm Kerbstones
Block Mould manufactures the BM KS M1 100cm as a custom steel kerbstone mould for industrial concrete block machines. The finished kerbstone measures 1,000 mm in length, with a cross-section 300 mm high and 150 mm wide at the base. The mould is manufactured with different steel and wear-resistant material options according to the customer's preferences and production requirements.
Kerbstone Profile and Surface Details
The kerbstone cross-section, front face slope and end faces are defined in the dimensioned product drawing. Any requested edge chamfers are also specified. The mould cavity and tamper shoe are designed around the approved product geometry.
When reproducing an existing kerbstone, its cross-section drawing, measurements and photographs from different angles help identify the surface details to retain.
Machine-Specific Mould Design
The 1,000 mm product length, usable production board area and machine mounting details are evaluated together when planning the mould layout. The number of kerbstones per cycle, cavity arrangement and tamper assembly are determined using this information.
Working clearances for concrete filling, compaction and product release are considered during mould design.
Technical Drawing Approval and Quotation
Before manufacturing, a technical drawing showing the kerbstone dimensions, cross-section and mould layout is submitted for customer approval. Final mould specifications are confirmed during quotation. Manufacturing begins after approval of the drawing and specifications.
