Custom Steel Mould for 160 × 500 mm Hourdi Blocks
Block Mould manufactures the BM CBHS 16x50 M2 as a custom steel mould for producing hourdi blocks on industrial concrete block machines. The finished block measures 160 mm wide and 500 mm long. A product height of 180 or 200 mm is specified when ordering. Different steel and wear-resistant material options are available according to customer preferences and production requirements.
Internal Openings and End Profiles
This model has three internal openings arranged along its length, separated by concrete webs. Opening dimensions, outer wall and web thicknesses, and end-face profiles are considered together in the mould design.
The dimensioned drawing defines the external dimensions and the recesses and projections at the block ends. Mould cores and the tamper shoe profile are prepared around this geometry, with working clearances for concrete filling, compaction and product release.
Machine and Production Board Layout
The 160 × 500 mm product dimensions, usable production board area and machine connections form the basis of the mould layout. Cavity count and arrangement are determined according to the customer's machine and required output per cycle.
The selected 180 or 200 mm product height is incorporated into the mould box and tamper assembly design. Mounting dimensions are reviewed to prepare the mould for the machine.
Technical Approval and Quotation
A technical drawing showing product dimensions, internal openings, end profiles and mould layout is submitted for customer approval before manufacturing. Final material and mould specifications are confirmed during quotation. Manufacturing follows the approved drawing and specifications.
